This stunning box-shaped house located on the banks of Spring Bay designed by Hobart architect Maria Gigney. This Bernacchi Drive House purposed as holiday retreat with modern seaside living and formed in simple, elegant plan which opens up to an expansive deck, blurring the edges of interior and exterior. The black exterior appearance translated in flooring that also has dark color, but contrasting with whiteness wall coloring and also home furnishing, except for the simple dining table and sitting created from natural wood, which become element to bring nature inside. A central living kitchen/dining/living area has floor-to ceiling cedar fold away doors on both the water and land sides allowing total indoor- outdoor living and entertaining. A parent’s retreat to the northern end of the home has beautiful water views, large ensuite with walk-in double shower area.
