HIVE Modular is a company that produces and sells prefab modular homes also taking into consideration their design architecture. The buildings are not only unique in style, but very easy to put together (comparing with other type of constructions) and made up of sustainable materials. B-Line Small is one of these models with flat-pitched roof design. It is 990 square feet home with 6 rooms: 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, dining room and bathroom. It cost $185/sq ft to build. Cladding of this home is done in fiber cement. The interior is done with using of environmentally-friendly products including concrete counter tops, no-VOC interior paint, FSC-certified framing wood and locally-sourced flooring. Besides that rainwater collection system was installed and all appliances were chose energy efficient. The house shows a great example of modern house which hasn’t anything unnecessary, is easy to build and use green technologies.
