Smooth Building by Jorge Hernandez de la Garza
The Smooth Building is designed by Jorge Hernandez de la Garza in a residential area of San Pedro Garza Garcia. The site gives advance views of the Sierra Madre Oriental at its South façade. The house aimed as an office and a house in the same lot taking advantage of the maximum space of every single area. For this reason it was necessary to mix the uses of house and office between the four levels, obtaining the best location for each space inside of the building.

The irregular and rough land affects the dimensions of the structure, which occupies 70% of the surface of the lot. The structure develops like a single continuous element that surrounds the volume with different textures that respond to the climatic conditions and to the magnificent views of the context.
