M-House by Micheas Architects
This M-House was designed by Micheas Architects in Mexico City, Mexico. The problem to solve in this project was the distribution of social living areas, which should be present at all levels of the house, following along with garden, terrace and deck, respectively. One limitation was the small site, therefore an open spaces created. Located in the middle level of the house is the kitchen-dining room in one space in height and a half, where the kitchen becomes protagonist. At this end we place the kitchen space, which should have all the requirements of the contemporary world.
First we seek to integrate the exterior entrance wall allowing Quarry Terrace, bending toward the side wall of the kitchen and then puncture and well integrated into the same wine coolers and refrigerators principal. Following the idea of the wall but now wenge-colored wood, leave cupboards and backslash at the same cloth, punching the wall to integrate, ovens, double sink and a back slit of light with frosted glass that allows us to visualize the house even not over.
On the ground floor areas are private bedrooms, studio and garden where each room overlooking the tops garden. Breaking conventional stereotypes and the very concept of open spaces and bathrooms are resolved based on tempered glass booths. The master bedroom was designed in an area without divisions in the coexistence of health services, the same bedroom and dressing as a single core.
